Some bathrooms, like this one have a large amount of building work needed before the initial bthroom installation can take place.

On this particular bathroom a large wall had to be removed, which seperated the two rooms which had the toilet and basin originally sited.

  •  The walls and floor had to be made good and level. The new toilet had to be plumbed in and ready to use for the customer for least disruption.

  •  The original radiator circulation pipes had to be repositioned and kept at a larger bore pipe to feed an additional two proposed radiators as well as the two inside the    bathroom. All this had to be boxed in as concrete walls and floors limited where the pipes could go.

  •  The original doorway into the toilet room had to be partitioned off, sealing off the new cloakroom ready for use while the job continued.

  •  An additional toilet was added to the main bathroom and a wall hung basin fixed where the old doorway was.

  • Sadly funds were an issue on this project so we had to have a close coupling toilet in the main bathroom and exposed boxing to the right of the toilet instead of hiding it in a vanity unit.

  • All pipe work was boxed in, applied priming coat ready for the decorator.

  • All walls were plastered and all woodwork was made good where needed

  • As well as a thermostatic standard radiator a duel fuel towel rail was fitted in this bathroom as they had no room for a dryer in the house so had to air dry their clothes in the bathroom.  Because of this issue an extractor fan was fitted with a humidity sensor and all painted surfaces in the bathroom had anti-mould paint used.

  • A shower bath was fitted with bath screen and an additional basin fitted.

This bathroom started off with three separate rooms each housing separately the basin, toilet and shower enclosure.

With careful planning and expertise the customer finished with two rooms one turned into a cloakroom toilet with wall hung basin, and the second into a large bathroom with a shower bath, secondry toilet and basin and two radiators, fully tiled around the bath and a tiled floor.
